How should i go about painting a plastered wood mirror?
I have a georgeous mirror which is plastered over wood in great detail. i want to paint the frame deep pink, from its currently brown/gold colour. i would like to keep the plaster if possible. which type of paint would be suitable? Could i just go with plain old acrylic paint? or should i get some professional paint? Thanks!
Acrylic paint and plaster are extremely forgiving; you can paint and repaint to your heart's content.
Plaster dissolves in water; paint that is still wet can be wiped off with a damp cloth or sponge but once it begins to dry it's better to leave it and paint over it than try to wash it off.
