I have a canon 5D. I'm having some trouble with a firmware update.?
My canon 5D had an "err 99". This means the mirror says up after shooting.
I decided a firmware update might help. The firmware update got as far as 100% then froze for about half an hour. I did the silly thing and switched it off, now it wont start up and seems to be stuck in trying to update firmware mode!
Please help, I need to get it working again asap.

My guess is that Canon sent specific instructions with the firmware update you downloaded and one of the things stressed was NOT to turn off the camera and if the firmware was in two parts to install them in order.
Did you do that?
