where can I find info & value of a strange piece of jewelry?
I purchased a large gold pendant of a woman sitting on a rock it is very unusual. Where can I find out who made it, if it is hand carved or molded. I'd like to know more about it and perhaps its value.
If you think this piece might be worth some money, go to a reputible gemologist, not just a jewelery store. Or have it appraised, I am not sure of the cost for jewelery, but you would get the paperwork to it. Beware of having it done in a regular jewelery store, they may say it isn't worth much and then offer to buy it from you. If anyone offers to buy it from you, beware, you know it has value!
