Those are very classic symbols and have found their way into many facets of our lives.
The mask is like the persona you put on when you go to work or school. It is your face in the jar by the door. The mask shows everyone exactly what you want them to see, whether that is how you see yourself or it is a purposeful lie. Masking is often an act of covering up a raw utility surface, either for protection or for beautification. It can also be simply making one thing look like another.
The mirror is when you see your true self. It shows you what you are doing and it is perhaps the only way you can change if something is wrong. It is like when you see yourself on video. The test for a creature's self-awareness (sometimes considered equal to sentience) is by mirror: if they demonstrate they know it is an image of themselves, they are self-aware. Mirroring is when you act as another - which is at the very root of our ability to learn and socialize. There are theories that "mirror neurons" are responsible not just for behaviors but also empathy and emotion.
So we have a little bit of mask and mirror in all of us. And we also have a little bit of mirror-mask: when I put on a face around friends, I am adopting their own demeanor to fit in.

Looking good is one of the prerequisites of feeling good and vice versa. However, many-a-times, enhancing your outer appearance can also make you feel good on the inside too. Loitering in the house, looking extremely shabby, is hardly going to do anything to lift up your spirits. Since the first thing that you see in the mirror is your face, it deserves your utmost attention.
Make Your Own Homemade Face Mask
You can use basic ingredients found around the house to make your own simple, hydrating masks. If you have oily or acne prone skin, mud or clay-based masks are great for balancing out your skin. Dry skin will benefit from hydrating masks made from glycerin, honey and oils. Ginseng or green tea masks are great for soothing skin.
Honey for Best Facial
The best facial mask that i have found is honey. Use warm cloth to open pores, smear on honey, leave on 15 to 30 minutes, rinse off with warm water, and then use cold water to close pores. Use for 3 days in a row and then once a week. Sometimes I mix a little gound oatmeal with the honey, which makes a great mask.
Mask to Combat Oily Skin
When I was a teenager I had very oily skin, and hence acne outbreaks were not at all an uncommon thing. Even now as an adult I still have problems with areas of my face being quite oily. This can be a very irritating thing as it can cause make-up to melt, your skin to look shiny and can make acne a very real thing even for those of us far past the age where we should have to worry about such things.
Turmeric Facial Mask
This is the traditional mask, also used for a bride, seven days in advance of marriage.Take in a cup half a cup of besan (gram flour), 2 tsp of turmeric powder, 2 tsp of sandal wood powder, 2 tsp of ghee or almond oil, add some water to make a paste. Apply to face and whole body and leave for 5-10 minutes. Rub with pressure with both palms and fingers to remove all the paste.

Homemade Facial Mask
Mash 1/2 banana and add 1 Tbsp. honey and 2 Tbsp. sour cream. Apply to face and let set for about 10 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.Two Tbsp. of cornmeal mixed with enough water to make a thick paste makes a great inexpensive facial mask. Gently apply to face and wash off.
