why does it always look like i have a moustache?
for the past few years, it has constantly appeared as though i have a moustache, even after shaving. the skin on my upper lip just always seems to have a constant shade to it and if i look at it closely in the mirror, it is very reddish, dry, peeling and just sore looking. However, even after I shave it still looks this, not as bad but the shadow is still there. I have tried shaving against the hair, but this just seems to irritate my skin even more. Making it worse is the fact that my facial hair grows in only a few spots (mostly on my chin and upper lip) so it doesnt even look balanced. the constant 'moustache' look is having such a serious effect on me that I dont even want to leave my house sometimes. would fading cream help this problem? or would a dermatologist? it just seems like such a weird problem to me because no guy I know has this problem and it is SO obvious, even in pictures. Help!
You should go see a dermatologist. The fact that the skin is red, dry and peeling could mean that you have an infection or an allergy. If the dermatologist rules out allergies or infection then ask him to recommend products that may minimize the appearance of the shaded area. Good Luck!
