Why won't Mirror's Edge for PC start up all the way?
I bought and downloaded the game from Steam. It is installed in my computer. However, when I launch it, there's about a ten minute wait where the picture of the game is shown in the middle of my desktop. After that, the screen goes dark as if it was about to work - and voila! It goes back to the desktop with the picture still there and a dark box in the upper left corner. Then it tells me it has encountered a problem and must close. Help me, please, so that i didn't just waste $20.
I have already reinstalled the game twice. i tried to install the update patch from the website, but it told me the game was installed incorrectly both times and I tried again.
One Steam's games tab, right-click the mirror's edge icon and click on properties. A new window will pop up. On the tab on the very right of the screen, there will be a option named check integrity of games files. Click on that and it might fix the problem.
If that doesn't fix it, I suggest you update your videodrivers. If that doesn't work too, maybe your computer isn't enoughly powerful to run the game?
