How can I attach a thin mirror to a large plain piece of glass?
I have an oval shaped glass coffee table that I don't just want to get rid of. The glass top is nice and I would love to use it as a frame-less mirror on the wall in my living room. I've read that the best way to do this is probably to attach a real mirror to what would be the back of the glass, and then I would like to paint or stain my own design on the face of the glass. Does this sound like something I should have done at a glass/mirror shop? And if so, how much would that likely cost?
The best way is to paint the back of the glass silver. The glass is actually ALREADY a mirror. The sliver backing just improves the contrast. For proof of this look at ANY window when the other side is dark.
