I have this 5 ' x 3 ' piece of wood that I want to paint to cover this UGLY mirror on my wall.?

I have absolutely no painting experience but would like something to fit into a southwest scheme. I have bright colour red, orange, green etc. I was thinking of just doing big brush strokes but thought that may look stupid. Any ideas. Thanks!!

I saw on a home improvement show where they took an ugly mirror and made a fake frame around it by gluing wood trim around the edge. I can't believe the difference it made, you might want to give that a try.

What's a good way to move my room around?

i have a queen size bed, a pretty large room, 2 windows on the North wall and i closet that takes up about half of the wall on the East wall, so I need a way to work around that. My door is on the South wall. I have a big bed, book shelf, dresser and mirror. Thanks! and if u have any preferences for me to buy stuff, tell me! Oh, and the colors in my room are mostly pink and orange but any thing else that might go with that is good. my furniture is dark and wooden. p.s a have a tv

If the entrance to your room is closer to the east wall or in the center, then place the head of your bed on the west wall opposite the entrance.

If the entrance is closer to the west wall, and if your closet has sliding doors or the door swings inward, then place the head of the bed on the north wall opposite the entrance. If this would place your bed underneath one of the windows, then just make sure that you hang a curtain for privacy.

This is known as the "commanding position" in the room, so that you can lay in bed & see anyone coming into the room without much effort. It also makes the bed the focal point of the room.

Place your TV on the south wall so that it's not the first thing you see when you walk into the room.

About beveled mirror!!! please help!?

I have a 5 x 3 wall mirror, I want to get it beveled and I also need a hole for mi lights, its for my half bath, so Im wondering if I can bring this mirror to a mirror place and have it done there, Im not sure if they will do it because I dont need to buy the mirror, I just need it "serviced", Can they do that> and is that really expensive?

Your local glass company should be able to help. Bring in the mirror and let them look at it and give you a quote, to estimate the cost. Be sure to measure accurately for the holes. You might tape some old newspaper together and make a template for the location and size of the holes. If the cost is too high to bevel it, consider framing it with trim molding after it's mounted on the wall.

Do my extensions match?

I bought human hair extensions and in my bathroom mirror, outside, restaurant, etc.. they match perfectly. But when I used the flash on my camera yesterday while I was out, I noticed some extension peaces stood out, like had a different color tone :S
*is it the flash or lighting or ?? I'm worried they don't match. (I have a few tones in my hair as well)

Which episode of The Twilight zone has a severed hand(like the one from the adams family)????

I saw it when i was real young and had plenty of nightmares. It was in black and white. All i remeber was the severed hand moved across a vanity (or dresser) and took a picture of a girl and the picture took her soul and killed her.??????

Never watched the TZ but there was a movie when I was little about a hand that somebody lost after he had it out the window and someone drove by too close and it got cut off. I think it came to life or something but all I can see in my mind is it laying on the side of the road covered in flies and starting to move.

Lemme tell you, it was the stuff of nightmares for a 5 year old!

A rectangular enclosure whose height h and width w are 86 cm and 81 cm, respectively. The inner surfaces are plane mirrors. A ray of light enters a small hole in the center of one mirror.

At what angle θ must the ray enter so as to exit through the hole after being reflected once by each of the other three mirrors?
The hole is located in one of the 81cm sides.

The hole is 40.5cm from each corner. It has to hit the side 86cm. mirror centre, so that is 43cm. from either corner.
Tan L = 43/40.5, atn = 46.717 deg. with respect to the 1st. mirror, or (90 - 46.717) = 43.283 deg. to the normal.
If you sketch that out and check, the reflections will continue to hit the other 2 mirrors centrally, before returning to the source hole.

I want to redecorate my bedroom. can anyone help me ?

Hello

Had my room the same for quite a while and feel like a change.

I have beech effect furniture ( bookshelf, drawers, bedside tables, wardrobe, bed) and one small window with silver vinetian blinds.

Unfortunately the wallpaper has to stay. Its plain with raised ovals on it. Not too bad but can be painted over.

I have a mirror which i am thinking of painting silver.

I have covered one of my walls with old Vinyls as this gives a great effect.

Just need idea's on colours and things i can do to make it look good.

At the minute im thinking pale green walls with a white bedspread with green and brown stripes at the bottom. Sounds pretty good to me .

Any idea's are much appreciated.
