Will leaf springs increase or decrease trailer stability?
I have a utility trailer for my quad/atv that I'm building. I have 27in tires so I can take it off road. The quad fits directly over top of the wheels, because of this I am worries about stability. I am at the point where I am choosing between leaf suspension or a rigid frame. What wou ld be best for the stability? I will ulter the frame to give the quad the same position over the wheel no matter what. Thanks in advance.
leaf springs will allow more movement of the load and would slightly decrease the trailer stability.
