I'm not sure if my wedding centerpiece will look right...?
I have an idea for my centerpieces.
It's either a square or round candle holder or fishbowl with ice crystals or marbles in the bottom. Then place a double sided laminated picture of me and my fiance in the center (on top of marbles) with something to hold it down so it doesn't float up. Then fill with water and cover with a big floating gerber daisy. put all that on top of a mirror with a few tea light candles around it.
is it too much? do you think it'll actually turn out?
any ideas will help my sticky situation. thanks!
The picture sounds like too much. I'd stick with just the fishbowl, marbles, water, and floating flower on a mirror. The tealights will be pretty too, but with the flower floating, no one would really be able to see the picture anyway. Plus, that laminating stuff isn't very waterproof, and it will seep in around the edges and ruin the pictures anyway.
If you want to incorporate pictures into your centerpieces, how about using tiny frames: http://www.dollartreedirect.com/Floral&Decor/Frames?show_all=true about halfway down on the right. Put pictures of yourselves in them and attach a little tag telling when the picture was taken. Arrange the little frames either at each place setting (it will act as a favor the guest can take home also), or arrange them around a large bowl of floating flowers and candles.
