Will this RAID 0+1 configuration work?
I have 4 hard drives, 3 are 750GB and one is a 2TB. I want to run the 3-750GB toghther in RAID 0 to give me 2,250GB for the high performance aspect. The 2TB I want to use as a mirror copy of the RAID 0 to have a redundant copy of the 3 disk array. Is this possible? If not through the RAID controller is there any way to achieve this without haveing to run a backup in my OS constantly? I know I will lose the extra 250GB accross the 3 disks, but thats fine. THANK YOU!
Sounds good to me,...except for losing the 250 GB. I'd say set 'em up and see if there are any error messages. Great question. Sorry I can't give a definitive answer.
