My friend bought me a small round mirror with magnification. I don' t know how much but believe me, the first time you look into it, it's scary. You see every single flaw, pore, etc. The beauty of this mirror is that you see everything and it makes plucking eyebrows a breeze. You don't miss a hair. I love it and Id like to keep a few on hand. She purchased this mirror at a little dollar store but I'm sure a beauty supply shop has them as well and in various sizes. I recommend them for every woman once you get past the shock. lol

Those are very classic symbols and have found their way into many facets of our lives.

The mask is like the persona you put on when you go to work or school. It is your face in the jar by the door. The mask shows everyone exactly what you want them to see, whether that is how you see yourself or it is a purposeful lie. Masking is often an act of covering up a raw utility surface, either for protection or for beautification. It can also be simply making one thing look like another.

The mirror is when you see your true self. It shows you what you are doing and it is perhaps the only way you can change if something is wrong. It is like when you see yourself on video. The test for a creature's self-awareness (sometimes considered equal to sentience) is by mirror: if they demonstrate they know it is an image of themselves, they are self-aware. Mirroring is when you act as another - which is at the very root of our ability to learn and socialize. There are theories that "mirror neurons" are responsible not just for behaviors but also empathy and emotion.

So we have a little bit of mask and mirror in all of us. And we also have a little bit of mirror-mask: when I put on a face around friends, I am adopting their own demeanor to fit in.

How to Make a Homemade Facial Mask

Homemade Facial Mask

Looking good is one of the prerequisites of feeling good and vice versa. However, many-a-times, enhancing your outer appearance can also make you feel good on the inside too. Loitering in the house, looking extremely shabby, is hardly going to do anything to lift up your spirits. Since the first thing that you see in the mirror is your face, it deserves your utmost attention.

Make Your Own Homemade Face Mask

You can use basic ingredients found around the house to make your own simple, hydrating masks. If you have oily or acne prone skin, mud or clay-based masks are great for balancing out your skin. Dry skin will benefit from hydrating masks made from glycerin, honey and oils. Ginseng or green tea masks are great for soothing skin.

Honey for Best Facial

The best facial mask that i have found is honey. Use warm cloth to open pores, smear on honey, leave on 15 to 30 minutes, rinse off with warm water, and then use cold water to close pores. Use for 3 days in a row and then once a week. Sometimes I mix a little gound oatmeal with the honey, which makes a great mask.

Mask to Combat Oily Skin

When I was a teenager I had very oily skin, and hence acne outbreaks were not at all an uncommon thing. Even now as an adult I still have problems with areas of my face being quite oily. This can be a very irritating thing as it can cause make-up to melt, your skin to look shiny and can make acne a very real thing even for those of us far past the age where we should have to worry about such things.

Turmeric Facial Mask

This is the traditional mask, also used for a bride, seven days in advance of marriage.Take in a cup half a cup of besan (gram flour), 2 tsp of turmeric powder, 2 tsp of sandal wood powder, 2 tsp of ghee or almond oil, add some water to make a paste. Apply to face and whole body and leave for 5-10 minutes. Rub with pressure with both palms and fingers to remove all the paste.

Homemade Facial Masks For Skin

Home made facial masks are very easy to make. There is two types of masks; a relaxing mask and a stimulating mask.Relaxing masks moisturize the skin and refresh the skin. Stimulating masks promote blood flow and firm up the skin. Face masks offer the best protection in the fight against Sars. Dry skin will benefit from hydrating masks made from glycerin, honey and oils.

Homemade Facial Mask

Mash 1/2 banana and add 1 Tbsp. honey and 2 Tbsp. sour cream. Apply to face and let set for about 10 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.Two Tbsp. of cornmeal mixed with enough water to make a thick paste makes a great inexpensive facial mask. Gently apply to face and wash off.

Metal frames/doors are primarily for commercial applications. A higher fire rating can be easily obtained with a metal door and frame. Also they are more secure if installed properly. Metal frames that are installed in block or concrete walls are usually grouted full of a cement based grout and are very strong.This grout (milk shake thickness) is pumped in the top of the frame through a hole made for this.
The metal frame also holds door closers and panic bars much better than a wood frame would.
The metal frame will hold up to repeated bumps,bangs and scrapes ( like in a hotel) much longer than a wooden frame would.
That is a nutshell of the difference

Does the sun ray kill fungus?

so when fungus causing a skin diseases, for example, jock itch or athelete's foot. would sun tanning help cure/kill these fungus caused skin diseases?

No but it will ease the symptoms as i have it on my scalp and after being exposed to sunlight it calms down and weakens it,but once the affect wears off it comes back just as before,the only solution is lamisil cream, and if that wont work you will need anti fungal tablets off your doctor.

I have an 08 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon & I want to take the mirrors off the door. I have the relocation brackets?

but I can't even get the mirrors off the orginal bracket. I've posted this question before but still haven't made any progress. I let it soak in WD 40 for over a day and on another day I let it soak in Jig-a-loo. With a lot of effort I still couldn't get it out of the bracket. My neighbor also has a Wrangler (08 Sahara) and his came right out and he said his mirrors looked different. Does anyone have a guaranteed way to solve this issue? After hours and hours and hours of struggling your help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

I am sorry you are having issue removing the mirror off the original bracket. If you have tried WD 40 and tried every other option and are still having no luck, I only suggest you take it to a professional Jeep mechanic and have them take the mirrors off.. .

How do you clean a Coach purse that is half leather and half fabric?

I've had the same problem. Clean the leather off with a damp paper towl. Clean the fabric off with a shout wipe. I have a patchwork coach bag and it took me forever to figure out what to clean it with, Dooney & Burke bags are much easier to keep clean. =)

How can we see things in a mirror that are not directly in front of the mirror?

For example, I have a small mirror in my room. Directly across from the mirror is where I stand. In the opposite corner of the room, I have a lamp. How is it that if I look in the mirror, I can see that lamp even though it is not in front of the mirror?

In a plane mirror (flat mirror), a parallel beam of light changes its direction as a whole, while still remaining parallel; the images formed by a plane mirror are virtual images, of the same size as the original object (see mirror image). There are also concave mirrors, where a parallel beam of light becomes a convergent beam, whose rays intersect in the focus of the mirror. Lastly, there are convex mirrors, where a parallel beam becomes divergent, with the rays appearing to diverge from a common intersection "behind" the mirror. Spherical concave and convex mirrors do not focus parallel rays to a single point due to spherical aberration. However, the ideal of focusing to a point is a commonly-used approximation. Parabolic reflectors resolve this, allowing incoming parallel rays (for example, light from a distant star) to be focused to a small spot; almost an ideal point. Parabolic reflectors are not suitable for imaging nearby objects because the light rays are not parallel.

A beam of light reflects off a mirror at an angle of reflection that is equal to its angle of incidence (if the size of a mirror is much larger than the wavelength of light). That is, if the beam of light is shining on a mirror's surface at a 30° angle from vertical, then it reflects from the point of incidence at a 30° angle from vertical in the opposite direction.

What happened with my eye contacts?

I had my contacts in during lunch when all of asuden it was so blurry in my right eye, so I figured it was dried out or something. Tried takeing it out but it felt like it wasn't in there. I couldn't tell if it was or wasn't. But my eye hurt and it felt like it was in there and was tared or something.

But I just assumed that it popped out. So anyways, I go to bed and then I wake up and I can actually see with out putting on my glasses or contacts and then I looked in the mirror and saw my right eye contacts was actually in. WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED? Before when I tried takeing it out it felt like I was touching my eye and it felt like it wasn't there and now it was.

It probably slid under the eyelid. This is not uncommon. Sometimes the steam of hot soup or an accidental bang on the eye can make the lens slide under the eyelid. If the lens cannot be repositioned on the cornea, it is under the eyelid and can be easily slid or moved to its correct position on the cornea (sometimes requiring the help of the fitter). It will do no harm if it is under the eyelid for a number of hours.
