i need ideas on decorating my sitting area i have black leather furniture & chrome &glass tables with a 52" tv
with white walls& framed mirrors that is silver & two black & white pictures on the walls please help with more ideas
There's actually alot you can do with what you have. Sounds like you've already adopted a pretty set style with the pieces you mentioned. I'm guessing contemporary it more your taste. You mentioned the walls are white (choice or necessity?). You do need to incorporate some color into the space, so first, you need to decide which one. Is the sitting area completely closed off from other living areas or does it flow into a dining or kitchen area as is so common in homes today? If the later is true, what colors have you used in there? You want one room to flow into the visual space of another not compete with it. One person suggested red, and it's okay if you like red (I do), but there are many other colors being used with black white and silver now. You could use shimmery silver grey yards of fabric on the windows, some embellished pillows with the same color. I saw a geometric patterned rug at Lowe's the other day that had the sage green, silver-grey, some camel tones and a deep purple...it was awesome, tho not my colors. I've done a room for a single friend with the black leather, white fur rug, fur throw on the sofa, and lots of pink accents, lots of wrought iron pieces...very parisienne. I've seen these colors in showrooms using abstract art and what I call crayola colors as accents. It's your own personal taste.
