Find Out About Vertical Radiators
Radiators have never really won any prizes for the aesthetic charm they bring to a room. They have not really done a great deal of favors for interior design either. However, thankfully this is starting to change. And this is no more in evidence than with vertical radiators which are becoming more and more popular; driven in part by the popularity of towel heaters throughout recent years.
It is not too hard to understand why they are becoming more popular, with their space saving credentials being the most obvious. The single most annoying factor with radiators is in the amount of space they take up across the wall. Putting something on its end makes sense; just look at how quickly skyscrapers were accepted as the norm.
This change in aspect also allows for greater freedom when laying out a room too. Many people seem stuck with where to put a sofa; and often end up placing it directly in front of the radiator which just happens to take up the main wall. Whilst this hides the intruder; it also blocks a lot of the heat of course. And then of course there is the damage that direct heat often causes to furniture. They can also add an extra dimension to the room too.
Towel heaters are the best known of vertical radiators of course; but many can also be used as mirrors. Amazingly, such is the polish and flatness of the metal this is true! Others, being so exquisitely designed, can become almost an art installation; particularly in modern homes.
But of course, not all of us live in a New York City loft pad or such space, so we may not want to draw attention to, what is after all, a heater. And that is not a problem with these radiators. They can, if needs be, be virtually hidden through their color, placement and so on.
But it is within the modern space that they really come into their own of course. Metallic flat panels look stunning offset against clinical backgrounds, whilst tubular sets can be created in a host of shapes; no longer do radiators have to be rectangular! With a wide range of colors and materials to choose from too, you can tailor make them to fit your space.
Indeed, so wide is the range of options available to you that they can be slotted into virtually any space. Alcoves in particular a popular choice and; can be dressed with flowers, wall shelving, even fish tanks to disguise them. For those annoying spaces with tiny walls too; no longer is a storage heater required that looks unsightly and out of place.
The flexibility of vertical radiators, the space saving abilities, the sheer wonderful design makes them a wise choice when upgrading heating systems. They are also of course the preferred choice for installation into new builds; being more economical and better looking. Costs too are coming down all the time, which makes the questions not so much should you, but when will you buy a set?
